7 R's for Sustainable Packaging
CJK Engineers start right at the design stage, by working to remove unnecessary materials from pre-existing projects and to eliminate the need for additional packaging on new projects, through innovative design.
The CJK design team works to maximize your goals with the smallest footprint possible. Our CAD/CAM systems gives us the ability to design robust products using minimum material thicknesses. This reduces the overall weight, which reduces material & freight costs.
We can design trays holding multiple pieces for manufacturing and shipping that are both stackable and nest able. These trays can be used over and over again requiring only a minimal amount of floor space. Our Clamshells can also be used as a storage device by the end user.
All of the products that we design have a Recycling code molded directly into the product. We also buy recycled raw materials to be used in the manufacture of new products whenever possible. Additionally CJK is committed to recycling plastics, pallets, paper and corrugated boxes within our own organization.
CJK is constantly evaluating sustainable renewable bio plastics as they become available in the marketplace. We will continue to test these materials and develop new design applications in the future.

Sustainability and eco-consciousness are top-of-mind at CJK. Every process and product we create, we do so with the environment in mind.
Unlike paper, which can only be recycled 2-3 times before it loses fiber strength, polymer packaging can be ground, reintroduced, and reformed indefinitely.
We use recycled grade polymer materials in well over 90% of our FDA and retail packaging products. all processing waste is sorted, ground, and returned to polymer processors that reintroduce 100% back into reusable products.
